Who I Am
This website is run by Abubakr Siddique A G, an individual SEBI-registered Investment Adviser (Reg. No. INA200000910), practising under the brand Wealth Traits Financial Planners, No. 46, 2nd Cross Street, Sri Moogambigai Nagar, Thanampalayam, Puducherry 605 007.
I decide how and why your personal data is used, which makes me the "Data Fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
What This Policy Covers
This policy explains how I collect, use, share and protect your personal data when you:
- visit this website
- submit an enquiry or book a discovery call
- become a client and receive financial planning or investment advice
Your advisory agreement may set out further terms for clients. If anything in that agreement differs from this policy, the agreement applies to the client relationship.
What I Collect and Why

On what basis: I use your personal data with your consent, which you give when you submit the form or sign the advisory agreement. I also use it where the law requires me to, for example to meet SEBI's KYC and record-keeping rules.
What I don't do: I don't sell your data, use it for unrelated marketing, or use it to make automated decisions about you.
Who I Share It With
I share your personal data only where needed, and only with:
- KYC Registration Agencies (KRAs), to complete and verify your KYC
- BSE Limited, for regulatory reporting
- SEBI, BSE and other authorities, when required by law, regulation or an inspection
- Service providers who help me run my practice, such as Microsoft 365 (email), Web3Forms (website contact form), Vercel (website hosting) and secure cloud storage, who may only use your data to provide their service to me
- Your other advisers, such as your CA or lawyer, only when you ask me to
Some of these service providers may store data outside India. Where that happens, I use reputable providers and follow any restrictions set by the Government of India.
How I Protect It
I use reasonable security measures: password-protected and encrypted devices and accounts, two-factor authentication where available, and access limited to what is needed. Please don't send sensitive documents through the website form; I'll share a secure way to send them after onboarding.
If a breach affects your personal data, I will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
How Long I Keep It
- Enquiries that don't lead to an engagement: deleted within 24 months of our last contact unless required as per the regulations.
- Client records: kept for 7 Years after the engagement ends, as SEBI regulations require, then securely deleted.
- Website technical data: kept only as long as the hosting provider needs it for security.
Your Rights
You can ask me to:
- See your data: a summary of the personal data I hold and how I use it
- Correct or update it if it is inaccurate or incomplete
- Erase it, unless I must keep it to meet SEBI or other legal requirements
- Withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn't affect anything done before you withdrew it, and I may no longer be able to provide advice without the data.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to do so
To use any of these rights, write to support@wealthtraits.com. I will respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with my response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children's Data
This website is not meant for anyone under 18, and I don't knowingly collect their data through it. When I plan for a client's children, such as for education goals or guardianship, I collect only what is needed, from the parent or guardian, with their consent.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes affecting clients will be communicated directly.
